A few summers ago, I embarked on new grounds and decided to make a business card of my own. My main reason in doing this was to just wanted to give my clients something they could use to contact me without having to scribble my information on a spare piece of paper each time I met someone new. Little to no research was done and didn't know exactly where to go. Eventually, I found a inexpensive website that helped me make my card and I was ready to send them out to the world.
Here is the image of what it looks like.
Horrible, I know. When I received the cards, the font was significantly smaller than what I expected. Most of my clients, could not even read the letters because the color and size against the image. It was almost embarrassing to pull my card out at times.
Now want to completely start over and redesign my card completely from scratch. I still have a lot of research to do, but I am hoping to get the ball rolling as soon as I can. It is important to brand oneself and a card has an important role to play. It is as if it is giving the first impression of my personality, preferences and professionalism.
Here is a list of five things that I will be using on my card.
1. Name of Business
2. Logo and Tagline
3. Phone Number
4. Email Address
5. Website Name
I am excited to renovate my branding and cards and I will keep you updated as to how things unfold.
I would love to know what and how you have done to make your business cards and if you have any advice for me as I start this project.
